Budnik Wheels Inc.

Media & Image Use

Almost every great photo of a Budnik wheel was taken by someone outside this building. Owners, builders, event shooters, and professional photographers are the reason this work gets seen at all. This page explains how we handle those images, what we ask before we use one, and how to reach us if you want your work credited, licensed, or taken down.

Our position, in short

We would rather have a conversation than a dispute. If you shot something we want to use, our preference is to ask you first, agree on terms, and keep working with you on the next build. If we get it wrong, tell us and we will fix it quickly.

The fastest path: email Support@budnik.com with "Media" in the subject line. Whether you are offering work, asking about credit, negotiating a license, or requesting a removal, that address reaches the right people.

1. What this page covers

This page applies to photographs, video, and other visual media created by someone other than Budnik Wheels Inc. that shows our products, and that we may publish on budnik.com, our social channels, our email marketing, our print materials, or our advertising.

It sits alongside our Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. Where this page and our Terms and Conditions address the same subject, the Terms and Conditions control. Nothing here transfers ownership of anyone's work.

2. When you tag us or send us a photo

Tagging @budnikwheels, using our hashtags, or sending us an image directly tells us you are open to us seeing it. It does not by itself give us the right to publish it. Before we repost or republish an image, we take one of these steps:

  1. We ask. A comment, a direct message, or an email requesting permission for a specific use.
  2. You confirm. A written reply is enough. If you want credit, a specific handle, a link, or limits on where the image runs, that is the moment to say so.
  3. We use it as agreed. Within the scope you approved, and nowhere else without coming back to you.

If you send us an image unprompted through a submission form, an email to our team, or a direct message offering it for our use, we treat that as permission for organic social posts and our website galleries. Anything beyond that, including paid advertising, print, packaging, or trade show display, gets a separate conversation.

3. Working with professional photographers Let's talk

We want long relationships with the people who shoot this industry well. If you are a professional and your work involves our wheels, here is how we like to operate.

Reach out before the shoot when you can

If you have a build coming that features our product, tell us. We can sometimes provide spec details, product renderings, historical context, or a heads up to the owner. Knowing about a shoot in advance is the easiest way for both of us to end up with something usable.

Tell us your terms up front

Send your usage terms, licensing rates, and credit requirements with the images or before we discuss use. Clear terms in writing move things faster than a negotiation after the fact. We will tell you plainly whether a use is organic social, website, email, print, or paid media, so you can price it accordingly.

Commercial use is a paid conversation

When we want an image for paid advertising, packaging, catalogs, trade show graphics, or any campaign with media spend behind it, we expect to negotiate a license. Send us your rate and scope and we will work from there.

You keep your copyright

Permission to use an image is a license, not a transfer. You continue to own your work, and you remain free to license it to anyone else, unless we have signed a separate written agreement that says otherwise.

4. How credit works

We want to be straight with you about this rather than promise something we cannot consistently deliver.

  • Agreed credit is honored. When credit has been discussed and agreed before use, we apply it exactly as agreed, and a missing credit is our error to correct.
  • Otherwise we credit where the format allows. On social posts and web galleries we tag and name photographers whenever we can identify them and the platform supports it.
  • Some formats carry no credit line. Print ads, packaging, banner creative, and trade show graphics often have no place for one. If credit matters to you in those contexts, say so before you authorize the use and we will build it into the terms or decline the use.
  • Ask us to add it anytime. If you see your work on our channels without a credit you wanted, email us and we will add it or take the image down.

5. Removal requests

You do not need to explain yourself and you do not need a lawyer. Email Support@budnik.com with a link or screenshot of the post and tell us you want it removed.

  • We acknowledge removal requests within 3 business days.
  • We remove the content from channels we control within 10 business days of confirming the request.
  • Material already committed to print or to a placement we cannot recall will be identified to you honestly, with a date it comes out of rotation.
  • Reposts made by other accounts are outside our control, and we will not misrepresent our ability to pull those.

If you believe your copyright has been infringed and you prefer a formal route, send a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act to Support@budnik.com including identification of the work, the location of the material on our channels, your contact information, a statement of good faith belief, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act.

6. What we ask you to confirm

When you give us permission to use an image, you are telling us a few things. Please make sure they are true.

  • You created the image or you hold the rights to license it.
  • You have any releases needed from recognizable people in the frame.
  • The vehicle owner is comfortable with the car appearing on our channels, if the vehicle is not yours.
  • The image does not incorporate third-party work that would require an additional license.

If any of that is uncertain, tell us and we will hold the image until it is sorted out.

7. Vehicles, plates, and personal details

Build photos often carry information the owner may not want public. Before publishing, we obscure license plates on request, and we leave out home addresses, shop locations, and owner names unless the owner has told us it is fine. If you or the owner of a vehicle want something removed or blurred in an image we have already posted, email us and we will handle it.

8. Our own photography and brand assets

Images, renderings, logos, and video produced by or for Budnik Wheels Inc. remain our property. Dealers, media, and event partners are welcome to request assets for editorial coverage or approved dealer marketing by emailing Support@budnik.com. Please do not modify our logo or present our imagery in a way that suggests a partnership or endorsement that does not exist.

9. Governing terms

This page is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules, consistent with our Terms and Conditions. We may update this page as our practices change, and the effective date above will reflect the most recent version.
